Purchase Options Cancellation Policy

Some items in our store are sold as pre-order or deposit orders (typically larger LTL freight items and custom fabrication). This policy explains how you can cancel or change those purchases. For all other orders, please see our Return Policy.

Pre-Order and Deposit Orders

When you purchase a pre-order or deposit item — most commonly an LTL freight item such as an air system, hood, or other large component — you are buying a product that is not yet ready to ship. At checkout, you will pay a deposit on the item. We securely store your payment method and will charge the remaining balance plus actual freight cost before the item leaves our shop, typically within 7 business days of your order (or sooner if the item is in stock and ready).

You will be contacted by phone or email with the freight quote and balance amount before any additional charges are run on your card.

Cancelling a Pre-Order or Deposit Order

You may cancel a pre-order or deposit order any time before the remaining balance has been charged. To request a cancellation, contact us at sales@southerlandbros.com or 636-744-6507 with your order number.

If you cancel before the balance is charged, your deposit will be fully refunded to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take additional time for your bank or credit card company to post the refund.

Once the remaining balance has been charged and the item has shipped, the order is no longer cancellable. Returns and refunds at that point are handled under our Return Policy.

Custom Fabrication and Special-Order Items

Custom fabrication parts and special-order items follow a different process and are final sale once the order has been accepted. Because these items are built or sourced specifically for you, deposits on custom fab and special-order items are non-refundable once production or sourcing has begun.

If you wish to cancel a custom or special-order item, contact us immediately after placing the order. If we have not yet started work or placed the order with our supplier, we will refund your deposit at our discretion. Once work has begun, the deposit is forfeited and the order cannot be cancelled.
